A Women’s Self-Defense Experience

Most people don’t think about personal safety—until life forces them to.

This experience is designed to change that.

You’ll learn real-world self-defense skills focused on awareness, prevention, and simple techniques you can actually use if you ever need them.

Led by a certified jiu-jitsu coach from the Carlson Gracie Central Coast Jiu-Jitsu team, you’ll also be introduced to practical escape and defense movements in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

No experience needed. Just a willingness to learn.

Pricing & Spots

A certified jiu-jitsu coach with the Carlson Gracie Central Coast Jiu-Jitsu team will provide hands-on training and demonstrations, so come prepared to learn.

What to Wear
Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that allows for a full range of motion, such as gym shorts, sweatpants, leggings, or a durable t-shirt.

The jiu-jitsu will be done on a mat where you will be barefoot, or you can wear socks.

What to Bring

  • Water Bottle: To stay hydrated, as classes are physically demanding

  • Small Towel: To wipe off sweat

  • Notebook and pen: To take notes

After Class:

We’ll unwind and celebrate you with a sparkling toast, charcuterie, and sandwiches at Dilecta Wines.

All ages are welcome. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available for participants under 21.

The class will be held in a peaceful, judgment-free environment and is suitable for all skill levels.
